Uprospects.com (Uprospects) is a Canadian Registered Not-for-profit (2018) entity created by educators, former University Student-Athletes and coaches. Our mission is to assist any student-athlete in showcasing their academic and athletic achievements to post-secondary schools in North America without barriers, financial or otherwise.

All individuals named within this section are volunteers that have dedicated their skills and knowledge to assist Canadians.
ACADEMIC ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The Academic Advisory Committee is wholeheartedly committed to providing support to Canadian student-athletes. Composed of dedicated educators, both currently active within learning institutions and those with prior formal positions in the field, this volunteer committee leverages its wealth of experience to serve the unique needs of student-athletes.
Their collective expertise and commitment are a cornerstone in creating online resources that will provide Canadian student-athletes with guidance that will empower them to excel both in their athletic pursuits and education.
SPORTS ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The committee is composed of advisors who have attended post-secondary institutions and have achieved national-level success in their respective sports, including winning competitions at the highest level.
DIGITAL INTERGRATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The Digital Integration Advisory Committee plays a pivotal role in guiding and strategizing the integration of digital technologies within our organization for student-athletes and stakeholders to utilize.

Khalid Rahal
Mr. Rahal brings over a decade of experience as a Charted Accountant and has extensive experience working as a Tax Auditor for the Canada Revenue Agency and now is a partner at a firm that assists not-for-profits, small, medium and large businesses (JR & Company LLP).
He is an avid soccer fan, and spends his free time volunteering in the community and helping raise his young family. Mr. Rahal will assist the school in the delivery of programs to help marginalized communities and assuring that courses that are offered are financially sustainable.
Monica Chahal
Dr. Monica Chahal is a highly skilled educator with more than 10 years of experience teaching in post-secondary and secondary education institutions, research and studies, and more than 10 years of experience in teaching grades 7 to 12.
Dr. Monica Chahal is a highly skilled educator with more than 10 years of experience teaching in post-secondary and secondary education institutions, research and studies, and more than 10 years of experience in teaching grades 7 to 12. Dr. Chahal has worked in many diverse and marginalized communities, including at Westminster City School in London, England and taught within the Edmonton Public School Board and has contributed to many committees and papers that include topics within equity, inclusion, diversity, multi-culturalism and anti-racism. Dr. Monica Chahal is an Adjunct Professor, Faculty of Education – University of Alberta Editor, and contributes to the Alberta Science Education Journal (Alberta Teachers Association) Presently, Dr. Chahal is teaching science courses at Edmonton Centre High School. JENNIFER CAROL
Jennifer (she/her) is a certified Alberta School Teacher and a former American soccer player scouted by the University of Memphis, a NCAA Division 1 School.
Jennifer (she/her) is a certified Alberta School Teacher and a former American soccer player scouted by the University of Memphis, a NCAA Division 1 School. She earned a Full-Athletic Scholarship, was part of the University Honors Society, and received the prestigious Tiger Top 30 Award for being one of the top 30 student-athletes at the university. Afterward, she transferred to Christian Brothers University in Memphis, where she also received a full Athletic Scholarship and excelled as a goal-keeper, leading her team to two National Championships and winning a NCAA Division 2 Gold Medal. She graduated magna cum laude. Jennifer transitioned into formal coaching and management roles in Canada, achieving notable success. Her team won a Canadian National Championship, and several of her players joined the MLS Next Academy residency program. Additionally, Jennifer secured sponsorship from Adidas Canada to organize soccer camps focused on promoting sports participation among marginalized youth.
Ivan Ferreira
Ivan (He/Him) earned his Bachelor's degree in Hospitality and Tourism from Universidade Paulista in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He has called Edmonton, Canada, his home for the past 15 years, with 10 of those years dedicated to entrepreneurship and small business ownership within the community.
Ivan successfully owned and managed a multi-unit franchise, Freshii, which marked the first of its kind in Western Canada and North America.He collaborated closely with the corporate office to ensure the concept's success in Western Canada, overseeing daily operations, conducting P+L analysis, providing training, and handling marketing efforts.
Michael Durodola
Michael is a dedicated youth soccer coach at BTB Soccer Academy, a prominent program in Western Canada.
Michael is a dedicated youth soccer coach at BTB Soccer Academy, a prominent program in Western Canada. Originally from Lagos, Nigeria, he moved to Canada over a decade ago and started coaching in 2017. Under his guidance, his team recently clinched a Canadian National Championship, and over a dozen of his players have successfully joined MLS Next Academies and professional teams.. In addition to his coaching role, Michael works as a digital media consultant for a nonprofit organization that offers free online education to Canadians.

Ikram Shire was formerly an intern at IBM as a front end software developer and she is currently in her final year at the University of Alberta studying Computer Science.

Megan Nguyen
Megan is originally from Vietnam, and for the past 4 years she has been studying computer science at the University of British Columbia in the Okanagan.

Outside of web development, she’s also a digital illustrator and animator, and she enjoys contributing art assets to video game development projects.

Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Chloe has lived in BC and Newfoundland, now making her home in Ontario.

After attending the University of Victoria for Astronomy and Physics and then for Political Science, Chloe realized that she needed a more creative career path, so she left school to pursue graphic design on her own. She aims to use her creative skills to create intriguing and accessible ways for people to interact with the world around them in our ever-changing society.
